CNR - Istituto di Nanotecnologie
c/o Campus Ecotekne, Via Monteroni, 73100, Lecce
Majorly involved in WP1, and less in WP2-4, the Institute of Nanotechnology belongs to the National Research Council (CNR-NANOTEC). This RU will play a pivotal role in the early stage of CLEOPATRA when they design, synthesize and study the materials used as nanofertilizers. In particular, the RU will develop the nHAP, its functionalization with urea, and the combination with P-solubilizing bacteria. Physical and chemical interactions between nHAP and leaf surfaces will also be studied.
Francesca Scalera

Researcher at CNR (National Research Council)
PhD in Materials and Structures Engineering at the University of Salento. Research interests focus on the development of polymeric and ceramic materials, as well as technologies for advanced applications in various sectors, including biomedical and agriculture.
Clara Piccirillo
PhD in Materials Science
She has knowledge of both the synthesis and characterisation of materials, particularly nanomaterials. She works with materials for different applications, including biomedicine, cosmetics, environmental remediation, and sustainable agriculture. She is also interested in using waste to extract valuable compounds, especially from the food industry.
